2nd General Conference of Internet-Based Qaumi Entrepreneurs Held

Facebook is creating a new melody between life and livelihood. And with the help of this Facebook, our A’lem society (Islamic religious scholars) is getting involved in business as well as teaching in Madrasas or performing Imamate in mosques. They have created the virtual group 'Qaumi Entrepreneur'. The second conference of this Facebook-based initiative was held on the night of March 20 at Sadek Hossain Khoka Community Center in Motijheel. The conference was attended by more than 50 Internet-based entrepreneurs and traders, as well as a variety of products such as dates, honey, prayer caps and ghee. Speaking as the chief guest at the conference, Rezwanul Haque Jami, Head of eCommerce, ICT Division-a2i, said, “We have come up with a great solution for online entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs will now be able to take secure payments on Facebook using our payment gateway. This will keep both the buyer and the entrepreneur safe. “I’ve seen a lot of Facebook groups, but I have found fewer nice, well-organized groups like Qaumi Entrepreneurs,” he said. “They are going great despite not getting much support from any corner."
